We are now looking for a Junior Data Engineer. We are seeking a curious and solution-oriented person who wants to work broadly with data in an organization with many different data sources, systems, and needs. The role suits you if you are genuinely interested in data, like to roll up your sleeves, think modernly, and put in the extra energy required to build really good solutions.

You like to combine:

• practical work in existing systems

• structured work with data flows

• analysis and reporting

You will work closely with our IT Team and help strengthen how we work with data over time.

What might a day look like? You will work in a team of 3 people in the data department, all with slightly different competencies. You work independently on the projects you are assigned or take on. Projects, which come in from internal departments, are prioritized together with the CIO and other colleagues in the data team. You will have extensive dialogue with many different types of internal clients where you provide feedback and steer the projects you work on.

Your responsibilities

• Extract data, write simpler SQL queries, and troubleshoot data problems

• Understand and work with our current ETL flows

• Support reporting and improve existing datasets and reports (in Cognos)

• Ensure data quality in the systems and environments we use today

• Work with databases and data storage in several different technologies

• Handle data in various formats and flows

Good to know

• SQL (e.g., DB2, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)

• ETL flows and data processes

• BI tools such as Cognos, Power BI, or similar

• Basic data modeling

• Cloud-based data storage solutions (merit, not a requirement)

• Python or other scripting (merit)

Employment type: Permanent position. Start date and salary: Salary according to agreement and start date by mutual agreement.
